A new challenge at Diva's by Design.

Good morning Blogger friends.

Hope you are all well and have had a lovely Easter. I am back to work tomorrow after five days off, which has gone far too quickly.
Today sees a new challenge at Diva's by Design and the theme for this challenge is "Inspired by the Movies". Our sponsor this week is Crafty Ribbons - now who doesn't love ribbons.

I told of a new venture which I was starting this week. I have however made the decision to opt out. Although the rent was only £40 month I would have to sell an awful lot of cards before I could start to make a profit. I hope the other crafters though have success with it.

I have used an LOTV image today and the film inspiration is Babies Day Out.

Not a lot of colouring on this image but I have used Distress Markers.

The flowers are from WOC and Live and Love Crafts. A full listing with a link to the products will be at the bottom of the post.

The frame is made from Katie Sue Designs moulds using Martha Stewart air drying clay.

The pearls strands and the sparkly bead are from The Hobby House.

It is now 11pm and I need some beauty sleep as I only had 2hrs last night worrying about the venture that is no more. I will revisit this post tomorrow evening and add anything I have missed this evening.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Addicted to Stamps and More - Make your mark
Hiding in my Craftroom - Flowers
Just keep on Creating - Anything goes
Fan-Tastic Tuesdays - Anything Goes
That Craft Place - Anything goes/Easter
Crafty Hazelnut Challenge - Use patterned paper
Crafting by Design - April showers bring May flowers
Craft Galore Encore - Creating with colour (favourite colour - pink)
Just B Creative Crazy - Just Because

Keep well and I will see you all soon.

Hugs Sharon. x

Sunday 13 April 2014

I am so excited.

Good evening friends.
I hope you are well and have had a lovely weekend. I would like to say hello to my new followers - it is lovely to meet with you through blogland.

My daughter Sophie sent me a link from Facebook last week about a shop which is opening on the 22nd April.  The shop is called Quirky Crafts and crafter's can rent a space in the shop to sell their crafts. I am so excited to be part of this new business, though it is going to be very stressful making sure I have enough cards to display. My days off from now on are going to be very busy.

I have a card to show you today which I made for a work colleague whose son is getting married. I think I am safe showing it before the wedding as it is abroad and all the guests will have arrived by now.

I love making cards in this Cerise pink - so bright and beautiful.
A product list will be at the bottom of the post with a direct link to the site where you can purchase the products.

I have coloured the image with Distress Markers.

The flowers are a combination of LOTV and Live and Love Crafts. I have added Frantage to the image matt.  The photo frame was made from a Katie Sue Mould using Air drying clay. The message was computer generated.

I cannot give you the link to the lace because I cannot remember where I bought it. Sorry.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Craft Hoarders Anonymous - Pick a stamp - any stamp
The Ribbon Girl Blog - Anything goes using an LOTV image
Hobby Cuzt Challenge - Bingo (Lace, Stamp, Bling)

Crafty Ribbons - Flower power
Allsorts Challenge - Spring Blossoms
Sweet Stampin Challenge blog - Flowers
Robyns Fetish Challenge - Must have a hat

I am just about to have my tea and then I will have a good old catch up with you all.

Monday 7 April 2014

I am one very tired lady.

Hello crafty friends.

I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend. I have so much to do today but we have had our grand daughter since Friday whilst her parents move house and everything has gone by the wayside. I am sooooo tired. I had forgotten just how much attention they need at six months. Evie Mie  is nearly 12lb and has done so well after being born at 29 weeks weighting just 2 1/2 lb. She is so adorable - I will put a video on the end of this post.

As you may have noticed, I have changed my blog header. I am pleased with the header but I have two backgrounds behind the design. I have tried to remove them but cannot find the html codes. I am waiting for Plumrose Lane to sort the problem out for me as I am not confident in doing it myself. To be honest I wouldn't know where to start which is why it is not running correctly.

I have been wanting to blog today's card for ages - and am making the best of it whilst Evie is asleep.

All of the products used will be listed with a link to the seller at the end of this post. If I have missed anything I apologise, just ask and I will give you the info.

I have used Drip Drop Tilda and stamp a foliage stamp behind it. She has been coloured using Distress Markers.

The flowers are from WOC Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.
The pearl string and sparkly stone in the middle of the white flower are from The Hobby House.

The sentiment stamp is from Clarity Stamp. The heart die is Doo Hickey.
